Kyle Gibson came to Minnetonka Monday night to meet with fans, pose for photos and sign autographs. The appearance came one day after the first-round draft pick beat the Yankees for his second major league win.
Gibson regularly includes reference to a favorite Bible verse in many of his signatures—from Ephesians—that begins with "For it is by grace you have been saved."
Gibson was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the first round of the 2009 draft. The Indiana native won his major league debut,a 6-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals on June 29, and is 2-2 since being called up from the minors.
The Twins have off until Thursday for the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
