Building Communities Around Seniors

The senior population is growing fast. What can we do to make our communities more "senior friendly?" We want your ideas!!!!!

With an aging population, communities throughout the country are adjusting to the needs of our seniors. (For the purpose of this blog...55 and older)

Smaller homes, one level living, drug stores, medical facilities, public transportation, grocery stores, fitness centers and social activities are just a few of the things we need to keep in mind as we reinvent out towns.

In addition, it is important to find ways to blend young/single adults, with families and this senior population. Neighborhoods can change, types of housing can change and, more importantly (if you don't plan), entire communities can change.
