Watch Nick Leddy Arrive At Maynard's With The Stanley Cup

Also at Maynard's Thursday was a tour bus from the Kenney Chesney camp giving away tickets to the sold out "No Shirt, No Shoes Tour" show tomorrow at Target Field.

Arriving about a half hour late in a limo packed with family, Nick Leddy brought the Stanley Cup to Maynard's in Excelsior Thursday afternoon to kick off a 24-hour whirlwind tour of the Metro area.

Leddy was greeted by a few thousand fans, all looking to get close to the cup. Most had heard about the appearance on Twitter or Facebook and dashed down to Maynard's packed patio and dock.

Oh, and the weather? Not a cloud in the sky and 85 degrees.

Leddy, a member of the 2013 NHL champion Chicago Blackhawks, played in all 48 regular season games last season. The 22-year-old signed a two-year extension with Chicago just last week, a deal reportedly worth about $5 million.

Leddy will also be bringing the Stanley Cup to Eden Prairie High School tomorrow (Friday, July 12) and take questions from fans. Click here for more information on the appearance.
