Trees Down, Power Out: How Hard Did Storm Hit You in Lake Minnetonka Area?

Storms blew through Lake Minnetonka communities for a second night Friday evening, causing another round of damage and power outages. Here are some of the comments from the Lake Minnetonka Facebook page: 

  • Cindy Larson: Mound...near Black Lake. Power out.
  • Natalie Hagemo: Power out in parts of Excelsior and Shorewood. Ours is out in Excelsior.
  • Jillene Marcotte Swanson: Trees down in St. Bonifacius too.
  • Stacy Miller Slifer: Tree on my parents house on Seton channel!
  • Cathy Wiechert: Huge tree down on Gull Lane and Three Points in Mound. Power is out.
  • Faye Landies Otero: Power out in Plymouth.
  • Karla Jensen Skeie: Power out island park mound
  • Lisabeth Pesch Pilot: power out maple plain
  • Patrick Fitzgerald: Turned off AC units before we had Bouncing Power levels. It never went out fully, but it did reset our clocks. We got out 14 candles one for each room just in case. Navarre, MN area here.
