9th Annual MWO Golf Open A Success
Seven teams consisting of alumni, community members and others made up the field.
The Mound Wrestling Organization (MWO) Golf Tournament was played on Friday, August 16 at Lakeview Golf Course.
Seven teams consisting of alumni, community members and others made up the field. 1947 Mound alumnus and state champion Dick Iacano, 1988 state entrant and state team participant Jason Hopkins, as well as recent 2013 graduate and four-time state entrant Tyler Hebig all participated. Gordy Donnell was honored for participating in all nine MWO Open’s. The defending champion squad of Tim Tierney, Dan Saatzer, Pat Byrnes and Don Hebig again took home first-place honors with a score of six under par.
The MWO would like to thank all of the golfers and donors who made the tournament, silent auction, and raffle a success, and Lake Minnetonka Drive In for catering a phenomenal dinner.
