Preschoolers in the west metro can check out a variety of nature-related activities throughout March 11-14, 2013.
The following information was provided by Three Rivers Park District. Preschool Drop-Off: Kits & Cubs: Colors in Nature Monday, March 11, from 1-3 p.m., at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. Drop off your kids to explore nature in spring. They will discover the natural world through hands-on learning including stories, art, songs, games, play activities, and hikes. A snack is included. Cost is $10 and reservations are required. Looking for a place to sled this winter? Here are five places in Three Rivers Parks to find sledding hills. Click on the park name for more information. Sledding hills are unsupervised, according to the Three Rivers Park District website and children should be accompanied by an adult. If conditions are poor or in cases of cold temperatures, hills could be closed. Snow tubing is an option as well, for a fee, at the Elm Creek Park Reserve.
