Mel Gibson Spotted Last Week Around Lake Minnetonka

Movie star was reportedly in Minnesota with his daughter on a family vacation.

Movie star Mel Gibson was spotted at several Minnesota locations last week, including multiple times around Lake Minnetonka. Gibson reportedly ate at both Maynards in Excelsior and Blue Pointe in Wayzata. A tweet by Maynards last Thursday read, "Mel Gibson was @MaynardsMN today for lunch. He might the biggest movie star we have ever had in the restaurant. #braveheart." Star Tribune entertainment writer C.J. wrote last week that Gibson also visited the Mall of America and quoted Bridget Ulrich, the former development specialist at Wayzata-based Hammer Residences, as saying she ran into the star at Mall of America's Lego Land. A Look at Vikings QB Christian Ponder's Lake Minnetonka Mansion

Young quarterback buys home in gated Tonka Bay community for just under $1 million.

The sale of a sprawling Lake Minnetonka home to Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder has officially closed, and the 24-year-old has been spotted several times over the last few weeks in the Spring Park and Excelsior areas getting to know his new neighbors. Ponder’s home is located in an upscale neighborhood of what is technically Tonka Bay. The home was built in 2001, according to Hennepin County records, and Ponder paid $880,000 for the property. The asking price had been $995,000. The estate includes eight bathrooms, five bedrooms, a gazebo, dock and sports court.
