Ask a Patch Panel: Breast Cancer

A breast care coordinator, cancer survivor and proprietor of a boutique that caters to women in the midst of breast cancer treatment will answer your questions about breast cancer for the next two days.

It is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. For the next two days Patch will host a panel of people to field your questions about breast cancer. On Thursday, Oct. 9, and Friday, Oct. 10, our panel will take breast-cancer related questions from Patch users.  So go ahead and ask away! Final Girl's Night Out of the Year Will Light Excelsior Pink

All proceeds raised tonight will go to the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Excelsior will honor those lost, diagnosed and affected by the disease with a special Girl's Night Out event tonight. Click here for more information.

Girls' Night Out Brings Pink to Excelsior

The last Girls' Night Out event of the year included a fundraiser for those affected by breast cancer.

“Light the town pink party” was the theme of the last Girls' Night Out event of the year on Oct. 6 in Excelsior. The event included a fundraiser for Hope Chest for Breast Cancer and a candle lighting ceremony in support of anyone who has been touched in some way by breast cancer. Although Excelsior has held Girls' Night Out for six years, this is the first time it has ended with an event for breast cancer. According to Betty Sorenson, president of the Excelsior Downtown Business Group, each participating business owner received three strings of pink lights to decorate their businesses.
