Shortly after 2 PM today (7-22-2013) at Smithtown and Echo Roads in Shorewood a westbound truck driver evidently lost control of his vehicle. After striking some trees and a cable box (see photo) the vehicle ended up on its top. The driver was treated and transported from the scene. Responding to the incident were Paramedics from the Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), Officers from the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department, Community Service Officers also with the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department along with a Fire/Rescue Team from the Excelsior Fire District. Neither the cause of the accident nor the identity of the driver was immediately available.
