Supermoon Sunday: Where Will You Watch around Lake Minnetonka?

The moon doesn't get any closer and fuller.

(This article uses material by Megan VerHelst and Three Rivers Park District.)

The skies appear to be cooperating over Lake Minnetonka so we can witness the most super "supermoon" this year.

Where is the best place around Lake Minnetonka to observe the Supermoon, in your opinion? Leave a comment below.
The moon is at perigee—its closest approach to Earth, according to Astronomy magazine's website—this weekend. That means the moon will be only 221,824 miles away from us.

EarthSky says the Supermoon was officially full at 6:32 a.m. CDT Sunday, with the actual perigee about 20 minutes earlier, according to Astronomy, and it'll be full the evening of Sunday, June 23, 2013.

EarthSky says this is the closest the moon will be to Earth until Aug. 10, 2014.
