Saturday turned out to be a gorgeous day for this year’s Tour de Tonka bike ride.

More than 2,900 riders from 26 states and nearly 250 communities set off on a tour of Lake Minnetonka communities during the annual Minnetonka Community Education event.

The ride started and ended with festivities, business booths and food at Minnetonka High School. Riders could choose from 16-, 26-, 43-, 51-, 77- or 100-mile routes that took them through scenic parts of the west metro.
