Orono High School will definitely be a younger boy's basketball team this year.
Fans will be seeing plenty of new faces on the varsity squad—including the recent additions of sophomores Ellis Hammer, Cole Hennings and Ethan Larson and freshman Sam Sustachek.
“There will being a lot of underclassmen getting varsity minutes,” said senior captain Tommy Ostrom.
The team goals are to keep an upbeat tempo throughout the game. They plan on winning games with their aggressive defense, and believe they will see most of their scoring opportunities off of transition.
The season looks to be a positive one lead by senior captains Ostrom, Justin Hammer and Pete Duxbury who believe that the team can do really well this year.
“We will be in a lot of a games,” said Ostrom, “and being in the game at the end is all you can really ask for."
