White Hawk Wrestlers Compete at State

Wrestlers gained valuable experience after competing in the state wrestling tournament.

Five members of the /Holy Family wrestling squad competed at the state wrestling tournament on Friday and Saturday, March 2 and 3 at the Xcel Energy Center. Although none of the wrestlers placed, they all battled hard and got some valuable experience.

“We were close to getting a few kids on the stand, so it was frustrating to come away empty-handed. However, everyone took a step forward and know what they need to do to get to that next level,” said head coach Todd Munsterteiger.

Sophomores Ryder Schmidt and Bryan Tierney both made their first trip to state. Both lost to the eventual fourth place winner and were out.
