Britton, a sophomore, lost to Minnetonka's Michael Tebon on Friday at the Class AA meet

Wayzata sophomore Dustin Britton finished off a busy week with a consolation semifinal loss at the Class AA state tournament on Friday at the University of Minnesota Baseline Tennis Center.

Britton’s lone match Friday was against Minnetonka senior Michael Tebon. Tebon won the match 6-2, 6-0, and advanced to the consolation finals where he lost a 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 match with Apple Valley’s Matt Bettes.

Britton, who helped Wayzata reach the Class AA team state championship on Wednesday, where the Trojans lost 4-3 to Rochester Mayo, finished up his fourth consecutive day of state tournament competition.
