Wayzata Swimmers Take 3rd at True Team State

The defending champion Trojans trailed only Stillwater and Edina in the final standings

girls swimming and diving team finished third at the Class AA True Team state meet at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

The Trojans, winners of the 2010 state crown, finished behind Stillwater’s 2,254 points and Edina’s 2,167 points. Wayzata finished with 2,064 points.

The Trojans led after the first two events, but Stillwater’s depth proved too much. The Ponies took over first place for good after the 200-meter individual medley, and Wayzata remained in second place until Edina took over after the 500-meter freestyle event.
