Twin Cities Youth Rowing Hosts Junior Regatta

Athletes from the Southwest metro competed against teams from other clubs Sunday afternoon at Bryant Lake in Eden Prairie.

The  held its second annual Twin Cities Junior Sweeps Regatta on Sunday, July 31, at Bryant Lake in Eden Prairie.

The TCYR program draws its participants from all over the Southwest Metro, including Edina, Eden Prairie, Golden Valley, Hopkins, Minnetonka, Minneapolis and Orono.

More than 200 athletes competed at the regatta, including 75 entries in 21 different levels. Five clubs from three states participated, including TCYR, Minnesota Boat Club, Minneapolis Rowing Club, the Milwaukee Rowing Club and the Rockford (IL) YMCA Rowing Club.
