Today: Orono Used Football Equipment Sale Begins

Families can also bring their gently used, cleaned up football equipment to the Orono High School parking lot to sell or donate.

The Orono Youth Football Program will conduct a used equipment sale for two days only this week.

The sale begins Monday, July 29, and concludes Tuesday, July 30. The sale will take place from 10:30 am until noon, during the Orono Football Camp, and families may bring their gently used, cleaned up football equipment to the Orono High School parking lot to sell or donate. Tables will be set up near the OHS practice fields so when parents drop their child off for camp, or even if you are not attending the camp, you have the opportunity to participate.

Details:
• Please bring only “used but in good condition” helmets, pads, cleats and other football gear in good condition.
• Please put suggested prices on your items or simply donate them to the program.
• Families may purchase used equipment anytime during the twi day sale, or look for additional sale times to be announced.
• Unsold/donated equipment will be inventoried and a list will be circulated by the OYF for people to purchase through Aug. 30. At the end of the month, items will be donated to a worthy cause unless you want to come back and pick it up.
• Times are 10:30-noon Monday and Tuesday.
• All proceeds will go to the OYF program from donated equipment.
• We will try to have someone available to help fit players.

Any questions, please contact Maureen Tomb at motomb2@msn.com. She has graciously offered to lead this 1st annual effort!

You may always contact Paul Prentice or Catherine Mehaffey with OYF questions.
