Skippers' Soccer Team To Play In State Championship

The girls soccer team will play for the class AA championship on Halloween vs. Lakeville North.

For the first time since 2005, Minnetonka High School's girls soccer team (15-2-2) has advanced to the state tournament. 

The team will play for the class AA championship on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 3pm vs. Lakeville North at the Metrodome.

After defeating St. Louis Park 6-0 in the Section 6AA semifinals, the Skippers beat Hopkins 1-0 in the finals. The team received the #3 seed in the state tournament and beat Elk River in the first round, then beat Eden Prairie 3-2 with a thrilling overtime victory.

A fan bus to the Dome will leave from the High School. Reserve your spot on the bus by submitting your permission slip and paying $5 at the Pagel Center.
