The White Hawks used three runs in the fifth and sixth innings to claim victory, remain unbeaten
Another late offensive push helped the Mound-Westonka softball team earn a 3-1 win over Annandale on Tuesday.
One day after overcoming a sixth-inning, four-run deficit against Glencoe-Silver Lake, the White Hawks put together three combined runs in the fifth and sixth innings to claim the victory. M-W is 7-0 on the season.
Brooklyn Pouti led off the fifth with a single and came home on an Evan Bailey single to center, giving the White Hawks a 1-0 lead.

M-W added a pair of runs in the sixth thanks to Allie Brady, who hit a two-run single to right-center.
Kim Hutchins earned the win by allowing one run, striking out nine and allowing six hits.

Brady finished 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs, Bailey went 3-for-4 with an RBI, Pouti was 1-for-2 with two runs and two stolen bases and Emmi Christensen and Kelly O’Brien each had a hit.
The White Hawks’ next game is Thursday at home against rival Orono. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
