Mound-Westonka Softball Remains Unbeaten

The White Hawks improved to 5-0 with a win over Litchfield on Friday

The Mound-Westonka softball team improved to 5-0 on the season by topping Litchfield 10-0 in five inning at home on Friday.

KatieJo Delisle earned the win by pitching five shutout innings, giving up four hits and walking two while striking out eight. It was Mound-Westonka's third shutout win of the year.

Offensively, Litchfield couldn't match Mound-Westonka's strong performance at the plate. The White Hawks compiled 11 hits, drew seven walks and stole 11 bases on the day.

Delisle went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs, two RBIs and three stolen bases. McKae Bailey went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs, Evan Bailey went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI and Allie Brandy went 2-for-3 with three runs and three stolen bases. Brooklyn Pouti was 1-for-3 with two runs and three stolen bases.

The White Hawks' next game is Monday on the road against Glencoe-Silver Lake. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
