Mound Westonka Girls Advance to State Hockey Finals

Last week's 3-1 victory over Mankato East punched Mound Westonka's ticket to the Minnesota State Hockey Tournament.

For the first time in school history the Mound Westonka girl's hockey team is headed to the State Tournament.

The team downed Mankato East last Thursday, Feb. 14, by a score of 3-1 to advance to the first round of the 2013 State Hockey Tournament. Click here for a complete photo gallery.

The girls will play Blake at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20.

Mound Westonka finished the 2012-13 season with a 19-7-1 and enters the tournament as a No. 3 seed.
