Last meeting: The Spartans beat the Cardinals 3-1 last year in the Litchfield Tournament finals.

On the line for the Spartans:

This is a chance for Orono to pick up an early conference road win. This would be a huge confidence builder for the Spartans.

On the line for the Cardinals:

This is a chance for Annadale to pick up their first win of the year. It would also allow them to start off 1-0 in conference.

Players to watch:

Jane McKown (MH): Spartans

McKown, at 6’1” will be the tallest player on the court. She will need to use her height as an advantage and stop the experienced Cardinal strikers from attacking.

Felicia Fobbe (S) – Cardinals

Fobbe will need to use her quickness and her 5’8” height to strike fear in the eyes of the Hawks frontline.

Spartans win if...

They are able to contain the experienced Cardinals. The Spartans have a roster mixed of all grades and they need to work as a team in order to come out of this match up with a win.

Cardinals win if...

They use their experience to their advantage. With a roster consisting of only jr’s and sr’s they know what to expect on game day by now. They need to stay within themselves, attack the net and they should come out with the win.
