Several youth soccer teams from Orono and Wayzata competed at the Schwan's USA Cup Weekend Tournament from Friday through Sunday at the National Sports Center in Blaine.

Teams battled the competition, as well as tropical weather that ranged from monsoon-esque storms to wilting heat and humidity during the three days of play.

Area squads will also compete in the week-long version of the international tournament at the NSC July 19-23.
