A Commitment To Cover Lake Minnetonka-area Sports

What can you expect from Patch sports? Anything and everything highlighting area athletes.

Sports are a part of every community. They provide a source of energy on a fall Friday night, a vehicle for navigating the long Minnesota winters and a talking point for comparing athletes, teams and success years down the road.

These are the games—the moments—that athletes, parents, neighbors and friends will remember, and those moments should be highlighted.

That’s where we come in.

We are Patch.com, and we are proud to join the Lake Minnetonka community. At Patch, we understand the imprint that high school athletics have on people’s lives. That’s why our goal is to help report local coverage in as many different ways as possible in and around Wayzata, Orono and the Mound-Westonka region.

We’ll be there to provide  and reports from games and . We’ll feature athletes and , and we’ll help you get ready for big games and events with previews.

Most importantly, we’ll help you connect with these teams and these athletes.

But we can’t do it alone.

Highlighting youth teams is another important part of community sports coverage, and for that we’re hoping you will help. Send us your from seventh grade basketball or pee wee hockey. Let us know when your teams win tournaments, including names of players, when the tourney took place, records and results, and we’ll put it on our website.
