Orono Imagination Fair Gets Kids Thinking

More than 130 Schumann Elementary School students participated in this year's Imagination Fair.

Orono Intermediate School third-grader Braden Smith ponders the Titanic Lego model and information on the ill-fated ship that was created by Louis Sustacek for the Imagination Fair earlier this month at Orono .

The Imagination Fair showcases the creativity, effective thinking skills and interests of second-grade participants. Projects, which are done outside of school hours, typically focus on science, history, art, research or hobbies—whatever captures a student’s imagination.

All students receive a certificate for their participation, not to mention the admiration of their counterparts in grades 1-3 who are invited to tour the exhibit.
