An "unidentified Edina-based buyer" has purchased the Tonka Bay home of Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Christian Ponder and his wife, Samantha Steele, for $1.062 million, according to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal.

The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom home is placed in a gated community on .82 acres of wooded property on Lake Minnetonka. The amenities include a tennis court, hot tub and dock.

Ponder bought the home for $880,000 in 2012 from Xcel Energy CEO Ben Fowke. He wasn't living in the home in December, at the time of the sale, according to City Pages.

Ponder has a year remaining on his Vikings contract, though he could be traded this spring should the team draft a new quarterback.
