Wayzata Public Works Building will be Dedicated to Al Orsen

The former city manager will speak at the event from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Wayzata Public Works Facility.

Al Orsen worked for the city of Wayzata for 35 years. He was the public works director/city engineer before becoming the city manager.

To thank him for his service, the city is dedicating the Wayzata Public Works building to him on Friday.

The dedication ceremony will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 299 Wayzata Blvd. W.

Dave Dudinsky, director of public service; Mayor Ken Willcox; and Lee Gustafson, president of the American Public Works Association will speak. Orsen also will talk after a commemorative plaque is unveiled.

A light lunch will follow the ceremony.
