Shorewood Marks Earth Day as a 'GreenStep City'

The city voluntarily joined the statewide program in June 2011.

Shorewood is one of 54 Minnesota cities to have signed up as a "GreenStep City," vowing to strive toward environmental sustainability.

The city's membership became official in June 2011, with a resolution that talked about moving "sustainable development practices" and "opportunities to reduce energy use and greenhouse gases." (See PDF.)
