The Westonka Public School District will welcome U.S. Sen. Al Franken to Mound Westonka High School on Wednesday, Oct. 3. The senator is scheduled to arrive at the high school at approximately 1 p.m. and will be speaking to MWHS students in the Little Theater from 1:15-2 p.m.
Sen. Franken will be speaking to senior government students about his work as a U.S. senator. He will take questions from students and will pose for photos after his presentation. This presentation is a continuation of a series of political round table events MWHS has hosted for seniors over the past four years.
Immediately following his presentation, Sen. Franken will be meeting with Mound city officials in the Community Room of the Westonka Public Schools Educational Service Center.
