Open House Scheduled to Discuss New Lake Minnetonka Sewer Line

The public is encouraged to attend an open house regarding the new regional sanitary sewer force main that will be constructed in the cities of Shorewood, Greenwood and Excelsior. The open house will take place Tuesday, June 18, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Shorewood City Hall.

The sewer force main project is being managed by Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES), the agency responsible for the regional sanitary sewer system. Moving from west to east, the sewer route includes portions of Beehrle Avenue, George Street, Morse Avenue, Excelsior Boulevard and Covington Road. The project will also include improvements to the pump station located on Beehrle Avenue.

At the open house, the public will be able to review project maps and diagrams, and meet with project representatives to ask questions about the project and communicate any special needs they may have during construction.
