First Glimpse: Update Scheduled on Wayzata Lakefront Initiative

"Lake Effect" initiative will update the city council next week on its progress in gathering input and data for future development of Wayzata lake front.

On Tuesday, Dec. 4, the Wayzata Lakefront Planning Initiative (commonly referred to as Lake Effect) will provide a progress report to the Wayzata City Council during their regularly scheduled meeting.

The project team, led by Patrick Seeb of the Saint Paul Riverfront Corporation, will discuss preliminary findings to date along with the first set of shared community values for consideration. This preliminary presentation will consist of community input from a variety of activities including the kickoff event, small group sessions, online surveys and questions, committee meetings, etc.

An open house will take place in January, which will display the recommended community value statements, supporting data and feedback gathered since the launch event in September. It's designed to generate community response and to further fine-tune statements to most accurately reflect community sentiment.
