Upscale Car Show Eyes Lake Minnetonka for 2013 Event
Huge classic car show could come to Excelsior next year.
Lake Minnetonka is the perfect backdrop for an upscale car show featuring classic cars in perfect condition.

The two organizers presented their event proposal for The 10,000 Lakes Concours d’Elegance to the City Council on Jan. 17. The event would occur in June 2013 and would feature anywhere from 100 to 200 classic cars, depending on available space.
Fieger called it a classy event with music, local wine and cheese and vendors from event sponsors. An estimated ticket cost is $15 with a percentage of proceeds going to a charity.

While the council wanted to know how the event would generate revenue for the city, they responded positively to the proposal.
“Sounds like an exciting event,” said Councilwoman Mary Jo Fulkerson.
