Wayzata Police Department Blotter: Sept. 28 Edition

The Wayzata Police Department responded to 71 calls for service between Sept. 22 and Sept. 26. Below are some notable occurrences.

  • Police responded to a domestic argument on Gleahaven Road just after 11 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26.
  • An unidentified 47-year-old Maple Plain woman was arrested for misdemeanor domestic assault against her 22-year-old son on Sept. 25. The incident took place on Rice Street just after 7 p.m.
  • A 28-year-old Maple Plain man was arrested on Industrial Avenue in Long Lake on Sept. 24 for violating a no contact order. He also had an outstanding warrant out for his arrest. He has not been identified.
  • Four aluminum wheel rims and a Honda gas generator were reported stolen from a construction yard on Brimhall Avenue in Long Lake. The report was made on the afternoon of Sept. 23. Estimated loss is $2,600. The incident is under investigation. 
  • An alert bank teller prevented a Wayzata woman from trying to wire her grandson $4,000 on Sept. 22. The unidentified woman received a phone call saying her grandson was in Mexico and requested the money. Police are calling the solicitation a scam and are investigating.
  • A lost laptop was reported on the east side of Walker Street South on Sept. 22. The LeNovo computer was black and inside a red carrying bag. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wayzata Police Department.
