Wayzata Police Blotter: June 15 Edition

Wayzata police responded to 96 calls for service between June 7 and June 13, including six medical calls and seven complaints involving juveniles. Below is a recap of noteworthy activity.

Formal charges have yet to be filed against a Hopkins man who police suspect was involved in a pair of April burglaries in Wayzata. Read more about the incidents here.

Hennepin County prosecutors have yet to make public the criminal complaint against a 49-year-old Wayzata man accused of pushing a woman into Lake Minnetonka after she asked him not to smoke near her. The incident occurred on June 5.

A window was reported broken at the Chalet Building on Park Street East in Wayzata on June 12. No other information on the incident was available.

Police received a report on June 10 of a Jeep Cherokee using sirens and lights to pull over a vehicle on County Road 15. The reporting party said the vehicle was occupied by what looked to be juveniles.

Someone set off fireworks inside a mailbox on Grove Lane on June 10. No damage was reported.

A stereo valued at approximately $1,000 was taken along with cash and clothing from an unlocked vehicle parked on Hollybrook Drive on June 9. No other information is available.

Four minors from Plymouth were cited for violating curfew on June 9.

Police advised a group of juveniles to stop jumping off the bridge over the Wayzata Lagoon on June 8.
