Wayzata Police Blotter: July 20 Edition

Wayzata police responded to 101 calls for service between July 12 and July 18. Below is a brief recap of notable activity.

Information is provided by the Wayzata Police Department and believed accurate. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

  • An unidentified motorist was arrested for driving while intoxicated on July 16 on the 400 block of East Lake Street in Wayzata. Test results and official charges are pending.
  • Graffiti was reported on a footbridge on Grove Lane in Wayzata on July 15. No other information is available. 
  • A 41-year-old Mound man was arrested on July 15 and charged with third-degree driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on the 2300 block of Wayzata Boulevard in Long Lake. Erik Peterson was stopped by police just after 4 a.m. and initial tests indicate his blood alcohol level was .13.
  • A car windshield was reportedly hit by a BB pellet near the Hwy. 12 ramp at Central Avenue. The incident was reported just before 9 p.m. on July 14.
  • Tampering of two unlocked vehicles were reported on July 14. Although showing signs of rummaging, no loss was reported. The cars were parked on LaSalle Street and Hampton Street in Wayzata.
