Wayzata Police Blotter: July 13 Edition

Punch Pizza, located at 1313 Wayzata Boulevard East, was broken into sometime late on July 10 or early July 11. Police say the business was forcibly entered and a cash register with an unspecified amount of cash was taken. The incident is currently under investigation.
A boat motor valued at approximately $3,000 was reported stolen on July 9 from an address on Daniels Street in Long Lake. No other information is available.
Edina resident John Russell Hanson, 49, faces a felony DWI charge after being arrested just before 4 a.m. on July 8. Police say Hanson's blood alcohol level was .13 following a traffic stop near the intersection of Indian Mound East and Broadway Avenue in Wayzata.

Mound resident Steven Michael Albers, 39, was arrested and subsequently charged with fourth-degree DWI following a July 6 traffic stop on Wayzata Boulevard East.
Two males, one from Tennessee and one from Montana, were cited on July 6 for soliciting without a permit. The men were reportedly going door-to-door attempting to get money for troop care packages. More can be found here.
