Wayzata P.D. Issues Crime Alert Following Thursday Home Burglary

The suspect forced entry through a garage service door and took items that they could carry with them.

From the Wayzata Police Department:

A residential burglary was reported on Edgewater Avenue South near the Wayzata Community Church on Thursday, Feb. 28. The suspect forced entry through a garage service door and took items that they could carry with them.

The burglary occurred between 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 27 and 10:45 a.m. on the 28th.

1) If you have an alarm system in your home, use it.

2) Lock your doors when you leave home.

3) Lock your doors when you go to bed at night.

4) Keep a protective eye out for your neighbors.

5) If you see something suspicious, report it immediately.  No call to police is a foolish call.
