Wayzata P.D. Blotter: Stolen Cucumbers, Teens With Pot and Arrest of Solicitors

Police responded to a report of an attempted entry into a construction trailer near the Wayzata Bay Center construction site on Lake Street. A door knob and windows were broken. The report was received at 8 a.m. on July 30.
Theft of checks was reported July 26 at 2 p.m. The theft is believed to have taken place while an individual was moving from one residence to another. A check for $800 was written out and cashed. The theft occurred on the 200 block of Central Avenue North.

A pair of juvenille females were found on the 1400 block of Wayzata Boulevard East with an open container of beer and were later charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphrenalia. The incident took place around 11:30 p.m. on July 25. The girls were from Plymouth and St. Louis Park. Parents were called to pick up their children.
Cucumbers and syrup were reported stolen July 23 from a seasonal produce stand on Lake Street. The theft is believed to have taken place overnight, and estimated loss was $100.

The front licence plate of a vehicle was reported stolen July 20 by a resident on Hillside Drive. It is unknown when and where the theft took place.
A 38-year-old female from Long Lake was arrested and charged with domestic assault following a July 17 altercation with a family member. The incident took place on the 300 block of Glenmoor Lane in Long Lake.
A 26-year-old male from Illinois and a 30-year-old male from Texas were arrested for soliciting magazine sales without a permit and booked into Hennepin County Jail. The arrest took place July 17 on the 600 block of Park Street East.
A leather purse and a necklace were stolen from a jewlery store on the 1200 block of Wayzata Boulevard East on July 17. The burglary involved forced entry, and loss is estimated at $1,000.
