Below is a selection of notable incidents reported between Sept. 29 and Oct. 5. The information comes from the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department.

Sept. 29

  • A 28-year-old Minnetonka man was arrested for an unregistered vehicle, expired registration and no proof of insurance after a traffic stop for an equipment violation. The arrest occurred at Excelsior Boulevard and Minnetonka Boulevard in Excelsior.
  • Cash and liquor were stolen from an unlocked garage on the 26200 block of Wild Rose Lane in Shorewood. Estimated loss is $113.

  • A 44-year-old Chaska man was arrested for not having a Minnesota driver’s license or proof of insurance after a traffic stop for an inoperative rear license plate light. The arrest occurred at Highway 7 and Highway 41 in Shorewood.

Oct. 1

  • A 48-year-old woman was arrested for DWI, possession of an open bottle, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for a turn signal violation at Highway 7 and Christmas Lake Road in Greenwood. Test results are pending.

  • A Chanhassen man’s bike was stolen from the Excelsior Public Library. He had left it unlocked in the bike rack and gone to a friend’s house. His bike, worth $300 ,was gone when he returned to the library.
  • A Shorewood resident reported that someone had gone into her vehicle overnight. Although there was nothing missing or damaged, she found a “sushi” box on the passenger floorboard of her vehicle. She did not know how it got there.
  • A 52-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for DWI after a traffic stop for not displaying a front license plate and suspected driving without a valid driver’s license. The arrest occurred in the 200 block of Water Street in Excelsior. Test results are pending.

Oct. 3

  • A 45-year-old Orono woman was arrested for DWI at County Road 19 and Woodpecker Ridge Road in Tonka Bay after a traffic stop for having an object suspended from her vehicle’s rear view mirror. Test results are pending.
  • There were three or four unauthorized charges for several hundred dollars each on the American Express account of a Shorewood man.

Oct. 4

  • A 43-year-old Plymouth man was arrested at Narrows Park in Tonka Bay for violation of order for protection. An officer had contact with him for fishing after park hours. The suspect was with his girlfriend, who had obtained the order for protection about six months prior. The girlfriend stated that they had worked everything out and were back together. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
  • There was a report of a fraudulent credit card application using a Shorewood man’s name and social security number.
  • A parrot was found in Excelsior.

Oct. 5

  • After a Hamburg man left his workout bag with his wallet inside on the floor of the workout area of Fitness 19, he returned from a short meeting to find his bag missing. Loss is estimated at $390.
  • Cub Foods Pharmacy in Shorewood reported a prescription forgery.
