South Lake Minnetonka Police Blotter: Oct. 25 Edition

A selection of notable incidents between Oct. 11 and Oct. 18.

Below is a selection of notable incidents reported between Oct. 11 and Oct. 18. The information comes from the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department.

Oct. 11

- A bike was found in Manitou Park in Tonka Bay.

Oct. 12

- There was a dog at large around Edgewood Road and Birch Bluff. The owner was found, and he paid the required fine.

- A personal injury accident occurred at Hwy. 7 and County Road 19.

Oct. 13

- A Chaska man reported a past event where his vehicle had been damaged while it was parked at Metro Petro in Shorewood. He was working at the time. When he went outside to empty the trash he discovered the damage to his vehicle. It had vulgar words scratched into the hood and scratches or key marks around the perimeter of the vehicle. It also had four flat tires, all four side windows broken out, a hole in the rear glass, and a broken windshield, passenger side mirror and driver-side door handle.

Oct. 14

- A 27-year-old man was arrested for DWI at Eureka Road and Mann Lane in Shorewood after a traffic stop for speeding. Test results are pending.

- Someone stole an iPod and change from the vehicle of a Tonka Bay resident. His vehicle was unlocked and parked in his driveway overnight. Loss is estimated at $105.

- A laptop was stolen from the Old Log Theater in Greenwood. Loss is estimated at $725.

- An officer on routine patrol observed a vehicle occupied by two young males, who were later found to be under 21, parked in front of a liquor store.

- An 18-year-old Tonka Bay man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Hwy. 7 in Shorewood.

- A 20-year-old Chaska man was arrested for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for an equipment violation.

Oct. 16

- A 44-year-old Minnetonka man was arrested for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. It occurred on Hwy. 7 and Chaska Road in Shorewood after a traffic stop for an equipment violation.

- A 23-year-old Eagan man was arrested for DWI on Hwy. 7 and Eureka Road in Shorewood after a traffic stop for speeding and equipment violations. Test results are pending.

- A 32-year-old Arizona man was arrested for DWI following a traffic stop on Manitou Road in Tonka Bay for driving recklessly. Test results are pending.

Oct. 17

- Pink fluorescent graffiti was painted on the side of a storage building in the 300 block of Water Street in Excelsior. An Excelsior business owner reported the graffiti.

- The Park Nicollet Clinic in Shorewood reported that someone dumped building debris on their property. The debris consisted of lumber from and old building, leaves and old plant materials.

Oct. 18

- After a traffic stop on Hwy. 7 and Oak Street in Excelsior for speeding, a 19-year-old Rockford man was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A 19-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for possessing alcohol under the age of 21.

- A Shorewood resident reported that during the evening of Oct. 15, a vehicle drove off the road and into her front lawn. The next evening, it happened again. The grass in her front lawn was torn up and there were tread marks from the tires in the grass.

- An Excelsior resident reported that a burglary may have happened during the week of Oct. 3. A jewelry box that held multiple jewelry pieces went missing. The loss is estimated at $9,350.
