Shots Fired, Traffic Stop: Hennepin County Sheriff’s Report

A public safety summary of service provided by the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Patrol Unit the week Oct. 22-28, 2012 for area communities.

The following public safety summary of information from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Patrol Unit that includes highlights from Oct. 22-28, 2012.

In addition to the law enforcement services it provides throughout the county, the HCSO provides primary patrol services for the communities of Hassan Township, Greenfield, Medicine Lake and Fort Snelling, as well as the Hennepin County portions of Hanover and Rockford. The report was provided by the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office. Not all incidents are included in the summary.

Oct. 27 - Deputies assisted Dayton police in the 19000 block of County Road 81 with a traffic stop. Deputies assisted with controlling a 26-year-old male who was arrested on narcotic charges and booked into the Hennepin County Public Safety Facility.

Oct. 26 - Deputies responded to an address in the 7400 block of Mark Street for a report of shots fired. A neighbor called concerned with another neighbor was shooting a gun and thought he was shooting towards his home. Deputies spoke with the other neighbor and he had been shooting into the ground while sighting in his gun. All parties advised, no other action was needed.  

Oct. 27 - Deputies responded to an address in the 8000 block of Vernon Street for a medical. A 57-year-old male having chest pains. North ambulance arrived and transported him to Maple Grove Hospital. No other action was needed.

The communities of Rockford, Corcoarn, Rogers, Medicine Lake and Hanover had no reports provided by the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office. The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office patrol deputies also issued six, seven assists and one response to a property damage accident.
