Police Find Unaccounted For Toddler Following Short Search

Labor Day night search ends.

Details are still emerging, but South Lake Minnetonka Police and several other local agencies were able to locate a missing boy Monday night after a search that lasted about an hour.

Word began spreading quickly on social media sites at around 8 p.m. Monday that a boy with a size 8 shoe was missing in Shorewood. Police Clips was first to report the missing child via Facebook and later confirmed he had been returned home safe.

Officers with the Three Rivers Park District, the Hennepin County Sheriff Water Patrol and local police searched walking trails, according to one witness, and a possible sighting of the boy was said to be at the Howard's Point Marina.
