Orono P.D. Blotter: Trespassing, Suspicious Activity and Bicycle Theft

The following are a selection of notable incidents responded to by the Orono Police Department between Nov. 13 and Nov. 19. Not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

Between Nov. 13 and Nov. 19 the Orono Police Department issued 12 citations for speeding, seven for insurance violations, five for driver's license infractions, two for operating a vehicle with expired registration, one each for stop sign violation, moving violation, marijuana in a motor vehicle, seat belt violation and two for curfew violations.

A noise complaint was received on the 2400 block of Island View Drive just after 12:30 a.m.

An arrest warrant was executed at 2 p.m. on the 1300 block of Baldur Park Road.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance complaint on around 3 p.m. on the 4100 block of Shoreline Drive.

A report of an assault, coercion threat or fear of harm, was received at approximately 3:15 p.m. on the 1000 block of Old Crystal Bay Road.

Theft of a bicycle was reported around 9 a.m. on the 2300 block of Island Drive.

An injured/sick animal was reported on the Luce Line Trail near Hwy. 12 at approximately 7 p.m.

A accident involving a vehicle that hit a deer and resulted in property damage occurred near the intersection of Shadywood Road and Shoreline Drive just after 7:30 p.m.

An overdose of unknown variety was reported on the 400 block of West Branch Road just before 8:30 p.m.

Nov. 14

A noise complaint was received on the 2400 block of Shoreline Drive just after midnight.

A motor vehicle accident resulting in property damage occurred near the intersection of Shoreline Drive and Warren Avenue just after 9:30 a.m.

A 31-year-old man from Bloomington was arrested for driving after suspension near the intersection of Ferndale Road and Shoreline Drive. The arrest took place around noon.

Police responded to a harassment complaint on the 1500 block of Fox Street just after 4 p.m.

Nov. 15

Police executed an arrest warrant on the 1100 block of North Arm Drive just before 9 a.m.

A neighborhood disturbance report was received on the 1300 block of Baldur Park Road just before 3 p.m.

A suspicious person was reported on the 700 block of Orchard Park Road just before 9 p.m.

Nov. 16.

Debris in the road was reported on the 3000 block of Shoreline Drive around 11:30 a.m.

A noise complaint was received around 10:15 on the 2400 block of Island Drive.

A suspicious person was reported on the 3000 block of Shoreline Drive around 10:15 p.m.

Nov. 17

Debris in the road was reported near the intersection of Kelly Avenue and Shoreline Drive around 12:45 a.m.

Suspicious activity was reported on the 700 block of Old Crystal Bay Road North at 2 a.m.

Suspicious activity was reported on the 2100 block of Wayzata Boulevard West around 5:45 a.m.

Criminal damage to property resulting in damage less than $500 was reported on the 3000 block of Northview Road at 11:15 a.m.

Theft from a yard on the 1500 block of Long Lake Boulevard was reported just before noon. Value of items were less than $500.

An animal bite was reported on the 200 block of Arcola Lane. The report was received around 12:45 p.m.

A suspicious person was reported on the 4500 block of Shoreline Drive around 11:45 p.m.

Nov. 18

A lost/missing person was reported just after 8:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Orono Orchard Road. No other information is available.

An injured/sick animal was reported on the 2000 block of Huntington Point Road East just after 10 a.m.

A 47-year-old Orono man was arrested around 12:30 p.m. on the 1000 block of Rest Point Road for trespassing—returning after demanding to leave.

A false 9-1-1 call was received from the 800 block of Forest Arms Lane just before 10:30 a.m.

Police executed an arrest warrant on the 3000 block of Sunset Drive just after 4 p.m.

Officers assisted the fire department around 5:30 p.m. at a scene on the 2000 block of Weber Hills Road.

A motor vehicle accident resulting in property damage occurred near the intersection of Hwy. 12 and County Road 6 just after 5:30 p.m.
