Multiple Alarm Fire in Minnetrista Causes Serious Damage to Home on Game Farm Road

Fire departments from throughout the Lake Minnetonka area were called to Thursday afternoon blaze.

Multiple fire departments responded to a house fire on the 6900 block of Game Farm Road in Minnetrista Thursday afternoon.

The first reports of flames were received by emergency dispatchers just before 1:30 p.m. Within 20 minutes at least four separate departments were responding to the scene—including rigs from Mound, Excelsior and Maple Plain. One witness said he counted at least seven different departments at the location at 2:30 p.m. 

By 2:45 a motorist said she drove by the area and no longer saw smoke but that firefighters were continuing to conduct suppression maneuvers near the home.

No reports of injuries had been recieved as of this post.

Social media posts by Police Clips reported at least one and possibly several propane tanks had expoloded, although those reports have not been confirmed as of this posting. Witnesses reported flames leaping from several areas of the home, and

Property records indicate the property is owned by Kevin and Eileen Grady of Minnetrista and was purchased in 2006 for $385,000.

The real estate website Zillow also had information on the property, although whether the home is currently on the market remains unclear.
