Two CARAG residents and one Savage resident were robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday night, according to a report filed by officers with the Minneapolis Police Department.
The trio, all in their mid-20's, were seated in their vehicle on the 3400 block of Colfax Avenue South around 10 p.m. They told police they were waiting for a friend, when three other men appeared out of the night. Allegedly wielding at least one gun, the men robbed the car's occupants of unspecified objects before fleeing.
Police say they recovered finger prints from the car's door handle.
The police report did not indicate any reason why the three were targeted.

A Kingfield resident reported their minivan's window was smashed overnight while the vehicle was parked on the 4200 block of Wentworth Avenue South.
A Lyndale resident reported their car and several others on the 3500 block of Harriet Avenue South were vandalized overnight.
A Linden Hills resident reported their house, on the 3900 block of France Avenue South, was broken into during the day.
A burglar called upon a house on the 5500 block of Washburn Avenue South between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
A house on the 3700 block of Colfax Avenue South and a second on the 3600 block of Grand Avenue South were burglarized between 1:45 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The parents of an Anthony Middle School student reported their child's cell phone was stolen during the school day.

A resident of the 3200 block of Blaisdell Avenue South told police that his car was stolen by "a female acquaintance" when he allowed her to spend the night at his home. Shortly after 11 p.m. on Jan. 6, the woman asked to borrow the man's car keys, saying she left something in his car. Instead, the man claimed, she drove off with his car. Over the next six hours, he called her multiple times to tell her to return the car. Each time, she responded, "I'm on my way back there." The woman, the man said, is no longer taking his calls.
An apartment window on the 3400 block of Colfax Avenue South was broken around 11 p.m.
