FAA Investigating Sunday Morning Helicopter Crash in Corcoran

The pilot landed the helicopter on the helipad at the residence when it started to spin and collided with a nearby unoccupied enclosed trailer resulting in the helicopter catching on fire.

All are OK after a helicopter crashed in Corcoran yesterday.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., Corcoran Police, Rogers Police, Rogers Fire and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office responded to  a report of  a single engine helicopter crash at a private residence in Corcoran.

The pilot landed the helicopter on the helipad at the residence when it started to spin and collided with a nearby unoccupied enclosed trailer resulting in the helicopter catching on fire. The fire was suppressed and there was no damage to any other structures.

The pilot was treated and released at the scene for minor injuries.

The FAA is investigating the incident.
