Deephaven P.D. Blotter: Underage Drinking Party, Overweight Truck and ID Theft

The following is a selection of notable incidents reported by the between July 24 and July 31. Not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

July 24

Officers assisted the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department with an underage drinking party on the 19500 block of Vine Ridge Road.

An officer received a report of identity theft on the 20000 block of Cottagewood Avenue.

July 25

A driver was cited for driving after suspension following an 8 p.m. traffic stop near the intersection of Minnetonka Boulevard and Vine Hill Road.

A motorist was arrested for driving after cancellation (inimical to public safety), operating a vehicle without an ignition lock and no driver’s license following an 11 p.m. traffic stop near the intersection of Minnetonka Boulevard and Cottagewood Road. A passenger in the vehicle was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 26

A resident applied for and was granted a permit to carry a handgun.

July 27

Seven adults under the age of 21 were cited for underage consumption of alcohol after an officer located them drinking around an illegal recreation fire on the 19500 block of Cedarhurst Road. The incident took place at 2 a.m.

July 28

A truck driver was cited for an overweight vehicle following a 9 a.m. traffic stop near the intersection of Cottagewood Road and Manor Road. The truck was more than 3,600 pounds overweight.

Officers assisted a South Lake Minnetonka police officer on an intoxicated person call on the 20300 block of Excelsior Boulevard. The incident took place just before midnight.

July 30

A vehicle was impounded and a motorist was cited for driving after suspension and not having insurance following an 8:40 p.m. traffic stop near the intersection of Hwy. 7 and Vine Hill Road.

An officer found a large roll of cable TV wire on Nocomo Beach just before midnight. The wire was recovered by the owner.

July 31

A motorist was cited for driving after revocation following a 2:48 p.m. traffic stop on the 4400 block of Vine Hill Road.

A motorist was cited for driving after suspension following a 9 p.m. traffic stop near the intersection of County Road 101 and Grays Bay Boulevard.
