A fire ignited at the site of the Macy's expansion in Ridgedale Center on Tuesday morning.
The blaze brought fire departments from Minnetonka, St Louis Park, Plymouth, Hopkins, Chaska Maple Grove, West Metro, Wayzata, Excelsior, Bloomington, Long Lake and others for mutual aid.
Macy’s and the Lakeshore Grill were evacuated on the north side of the mall. It’s a fire behind a wall of the building that was under construction, according to the city of Minnetonka. There were no injuries.
