Blotter: Stalking, Purse Snatching and Underage Drinking

Below is a selection of notable incidents reported between Jan. 1 and Jan. 11. The information comes from the Mound Police Department and is not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

A 63-year-old Mound man was arrested just before Jan. 11 on the 5100 block of Tuxedo Drive. He was later charged with violating a restraining order and stalking, both felonies. The arrest took place just before 7 p.m.

A pair of 19-year-old males were cited for underage drinking on Jan. 11 after police were called to a domestic disturbance on the 1600 block of Gull Lane.

Items valued at approximately $52 were reported stolen Jan. 9 from a location on the 2100 block of Commerce Boulevard. A 40-year-old Mound woman was arrested in connection with the theft.

Keys were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 3100 block of Argyle Lane. Police received the report just after 5 p.m. on Jan. 8. No other information is available.

A property damage accident was reported Jan. 7 on the 5400 block of Shoreline Drive. Police responded to the scene at approximately 8:30 a.m.

Police took a report of a domestic assault on the 2200 block of Millpond Lane on the afternoon of Jan. 7.

A door to a residence on the 2000 block of Arbor Lane was damaged Jan. 4. Police responded to the home just after 11 p.m. The home was currently under construction, and police say the suspect is paying restitution.

A purse and its contents, valued at more than $1,200, was reported stolen Jan. 3 from a location on the 2100 block of Commerce Boulevard. Police received the report around 5 p.m., and the case remains under investigation.

A hit-and-run accident on the 2200 block of Commerce Boulevard was reported around 11 p.m. Jan. 3. The accident resulted in unspecified property damage, and the incident remains under investigation.

A vehicle’s tires and mirrors were reported damaged at about 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 1. The vehicle was parked on the 4600 block of Kildare Drive.
