Blotter: Police Investigating Theft of Power Cables

Below is a selection of notable incidents responded to by the Mound Police Department between Dec. 10 and Dec. 21. Not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

Police received a report just before 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 that a tin of chewing tobacco valued at $4 was stolen from a location on the 5300 block of Shoreline Drive.

A property damage accident was reported on the 3200 block of County Road 44 at 7 a.m. on Dec. 20.

A 33-year-old Arizona woman was arrested on Dec. 19 for disorderly conduct and possession of synthetic marijuana. The arrest took place on the 2000 block of Commerce Boulevard.

A 26-year-old Plymouth man was arrested just before 4 p.m. on Dec. 18 for gross misdemeanor assault and violating an order of protection. The arrest occurred on the 1600 block of Avocet Lane.

Police arrested a juvenile male Dec. 16 on the 2200 block of Commerce Boulevard for fifth-degree domestic assault.

An 18-year-old Mound man and a juvenile male were both arrested around 11 p.m. on Dec. 16 for possessing a small amount of marijuana.

Police received a report on Dec. 13 of over-the-counter medication being stolen from a location on the 2000 block of Commerce Boulevard. Value of the medication was estimated at $120.

A 33-year-old Mound man was arrested on the 5000 block of Edgewater Drive just before 5 p.m. Dec. 12 for second-degree assault and first-degree terroristic threats. The same man also faces charges for third-degree DWI.

A report was received just after 8 a.m. on Dec. 12 of a radio being stolen from a vehicle on the 3000 block of Tuxedo Boulevard. The radio was eventually returned to its owner.

Power cables valued at $650 were reported stolen Dec. 12 from the 6200 block of Westedge Boulevard. The case is under investigation.

A property damage accident was reported along the 2200 block of Commerce Boulevard on Dec. 11. The report was received at approximately 12:15 p.m.

An 18-year-old Mound man was arrested just before 8 a.m. on Dec. 10 for minor consumption of alcohol.

A 46-year-old Minnetrista man was arrested at 1:15 a.m. on Dec. 10 on suspicion of fourth-degree DWI. The arrest occurred on the 5700 block of Bartlett Boulevard. Test results are pending.
